Resilience

Resilience means to bounce back, recover from setbacks, adversities, stress, challenges, and difficult experiences with strength, flexibility, and maintaining well-being despite the difficulties.

Tips to Building Resilience

  • Positive Self-belief: Having the confidence in yourself and your ability to develop determination to bounce back from adversity.
  • Purpose: Feeling that you have a goal that’s meaningful.
  • Positivity: Maintaining a positive attitude, optimism, positive mindset, taking proactive, strategic actions to stay motivated, uplifted, and have a positive perspective to overcome the situation.
  • Persistent: Being determined, flexible, adapting new skills and strategies as are necessary to accomplish your goal or vision.

By focusing on these areas, one is able to handle stress and adversity with inner strength and a positive perspective.

Affirmation for Resilience

These affirmations may be said individually, especially at the moments when you’re feeling difficulty, or said as a whole all together as a daily meditation during challenging times. You can also write them in your journal.

This challenging moment is my opportunity for better.

The resources I need are present to me.

I let go of doubt, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.

All things are working together for good for me.

I have inner strength constantly helping me to a good outcome.

I am calm, focused, and secure.

I have clarity and certainty. I am strengthened every step of the way to the better good for me.

I step into the good that’s for me now.

A Positive Perspective

Having resilience is to move forward despite the difficulty — moving beyond the circumstance — adapting a growth perspective — turning obstacles into opportunities, and then realizing how much stronger you’ve grown every step of the way.

Resilience is not just surviving. It’s creating, transforming, and progressively uplifting yourself with inner strength and maintaining a positive perspective.
